I’d obtained a signed copy of this book from the author while my dear OH and I were at this cemetery a several years ago to bury one of two fur children [cats] after having cremating her [13-year old Calico who died from an overactive thyroid; which we followed about 2 years later with our 20 plus year old Maine Coon who died after suffering from diabetes for 7 years. We currently have two more fur children, with a place still available in the plot we’d obtained.How can anyone, when a pet whose been a member of their family for several years simply get rid of by allowing your vet to dispose of it or even worst just dumping the body into the common trash. Living in the NYCity metropolitan we’d been fortunate to have a marvelous pet cemetery to use, the Hartsdale Pet Cemetery, which is what this book is about.

A wonderful, insightful book about one of the greatest places on Earth. Hartsdale Pet Cemetery is rich in history, full of life and love, and best of all, peaceful. This book captures it's essence and being in a caring and thoughtful manner. The author, Edward C. Martin III loves Hartsdale Pet Cemetery and it shows. He tells it's story from his perspective and you will find yourself wanting to visit.
